If you’ve not already played your Wildcard, this might be the best time to do so because you’ll get unlimited transfers before the Round of 16.

This means you can tear it up for the final round of group stage matches, taking account of who might rest players and who needs what results to qualify.

And of course who’s got the best-looking fixtures, now that you’ve had a chance to assess every side.

With that in mind, recommended picks include players from Switzerland, Iceland, Egypt, Tunisia and Nigeria.

Yann Sommer, SUI – 5m

Switzerland are yet to keep a clean sheet despite their strong start, but they’ve got a strong defence and face a Costa Rica side that hasn’t scored.

With a win required for them to top the group, a clean sheet for Switzerland looks a good bet here.

Hannes Halldórsson, ISL – 5m

Iceland need a win against Croatia, which would normally be a tough ask – but with top spot in the group already assured, the Croatians will probably rest players.

If they put out a second-string side then this gives Iceland more than a fighting chance, and they’ve got the spirit to pull off a result.

Mohamed El-Shenawy, EGY – 4.5m

Egypt have no chance of reaching the knockout stages but they’ve got the chance to go out on a high with a fixture against goalless Saudi Arabia.

With Mohamed Salah back in their side, they should be on the front foot and their defence is reasonably strong despite crumbling against Russia.

Farouk Ben Mustapha, TUN – £4m

Tunisia end their World Cup against Panama, where a clean sheet is quite possible and would make a Ben Mustapha excellent value at just 4m.

For comparison’s sake, Panama’s Jaime Penedo is 4.5m.

Francis Uzoho, NGR – 4m

Nigeria aren’t especially likely to shut out Argentina, no matter how bad they’ve been so far – after all, surely Lionel Messi has to score some time.

Nevertheless, he’s very cheap so if funds are tight then you could go with two 4m goalkeepers, starting with Uzoho and substituting him out for Ben Mustapha if necessary.

Good luck and happy selecting!
