Ben Foster, West Brom – £4.6m
Tony Pulis has moved in at the Hawthorns, so don’t be surprised to see the clean sheets flow for Foster and his Baggies back line.
Tom Heaton, Burnley – £4.6m
The Clarets’ next two games are both at home against struggling opposition, namely QPR and Crystal Palace, shut-outs in which would provide an already tight defence with further confidence.
Costel Pantilimon, Sunderland – £4.5m
As wildly unpredictable as Sunderland are, they do seem to keep clean sheets sufficiently regularly to make a potential bargain of their giant Romanian ‘keeper.
Brad Guzan, Aston Villa – £4.7m
Villa are another side whose lowly status belies how defensively miserly they can be on their day – 1-0 away wins over fellow strugglers are not uncommon, and they’ve now gone three games in all competitions without conceding.
David de Gea, Man Utd – £5.8m
In supreme form this season, and given United’s lingering defensive frailty he’s more likely to earn bonus points through making saves than Thibaut Courtois or Joe Hart.
