This Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 9 captains round-up is here to give you guidance in selecting both your skipper and a handy vice-captain.
Recommended selections this week include players from Southampton, Man City and Arsenal.
Sergio Agüero, Man City (forward)
“Surely he’s due a points bonanza” we reasoned last time out – lo and behold, he went and scored 5 against Newcastle, earning a cool 50 points for anyone who captained him.
He almost certainly won’t match that tally at home to Bournemouth, but he might not be far off. Agüero’s back, folks.
EDIT: Injured, out for a month. Ah, nuts.
Alexis Sánchez, Arsenal (midfielder)
Speaking of players who are back on the top of their game, the Gunners’ Chilean maestro has scored 5 goals in his last 2 games. He plays away to newly promoted Watford next time out, although the Hornets’ tight defence should be taken into account.
Theo Walcott’s worthy of your consideration too, mind.

Graziano Pellè/Sadio Mané, Southampton (forward/midfielder)
The Saints duo have been racking up goals and assists like they’re going out of fashion lately, which bodes well ahead of their home game against a Leicester side that’s still not managed to keep a clean sheet.
