Recommended selections this week include players from Arsenal, Man Utd, Spurs and West Brom.

Gabriel, Arsenal – £4.9m

If he holds onto his place for the game at home to Stoke – and, after taking part in back-to-back clean sheets, why shouldn’t he? – then Gabriel could be quite the bargain at that price.

Craig Dawson, West Brom – £5m

What with the arrival of Jonny Evans it’s hard to say which centre-back pairing Tony Pulis will opt for at home to Southampton on Saturday, but Dawson is pretty much a certainty to continue at right-back and even poses an attacking threat at set pieces.

Eric Dier, Spurs – £5m

Seems to be cementing a central midfield spot in Mauricio Pochettino’s first-choice XI, but he’s listed as a defender in FPL so he’ll pick up 4 points for a clean sheet at struggling Sunderland this weekend.

Luke Shaw, Man Utd – £5.6m

Reminded us of his attacking capabilities with an assist in the 2-1 defeat at Swansea last time out and should be in with a decent shout of keeping a clean sheet at home to low-scoring Liverpool in Saturday’s evening kick-off.

Kyle Naughton, Swansea – £5m

Goes to a Watford side that’s yet to score at home and also has the potential for an assist, as he showed by setting up his side’s goal in the recent 1-1 draw at Sunderland.

Good luck and happy selecting!
