Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 35 defenders round-up

Strengthen your defence with this Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 35 defenders round-up and unlock your fantasy football potential.

Recommended defender picks for this Gameweek include players from Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Watford, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton.

🌟 Aymeric Laporte MCI, £6.1m

Home to Spurs and away to Man Utd is a tough Double Gameweek on paper, but there’s no reason not to anticipate at least one clean sheet from those.

Factor in Laporte’s attacking threat from set pieces, as well as the apparent security of his status as a starter, and Laporte looks City’s best bet in terms of defenders.

🌟 Kieran Trippier TOT, £6m

He didn’t start the 4-0 win over Huddersfield, but that’s likely more to do with him being rested with upcoming fixtures in mind.

While away to City is far from an attractive fixture, the ensuing home match against struggling Brighton could yield a good points haul for Trippier.

🌟 Femenía/Mariappa WAT, £4.2m each

With José Holebas injured, a browse of Watford’s remaining defensive options culminates with Kiko Femenía and Adrian Mariappa being hard to ignore at that price.

The FA Cup finalists have arguably the most attractive games of all the teams playing twice this week – away to Huddersfield and home to Wolves.

🌟 Matt Doherty WOL, £5.3m

Wolves have two winnable home games coming up this week against Brighton and an Arsenal side with a poor recent away record.

🌟 Valery/Yoshida/Bednarek SOU, £4.1m/£4.1m/£4m

In-form Southampton could feasibly keep at least one clean sheet from their trips to Newcastle and Watford, and they’ve got some great cheap options.

Yan Valery picked up a knock in the 3-1 win over Wolves, but if he misses out then Maya Yoshida and Jan Bednarek are solid choices.
