Sergio Agüero, Man City (forward)
We said last time he was due to ‘explode’, as it were, and sure enough the Argentine scored twice in a 4-1 win at Stoke.
If only we’d taken our own advice and captained him instead of Alexis Sánchez, who fired a blank at home to Leicester. D’oh. Anyway, we’ll be backing Agüero at home to Newcastle this weekend.
Yaya Touré, Man City (midfielder)
He’s back from a victorious African Cup of Nations campaign, and he loves playing against Newcastle.
Eden Hazard, Chelsea (midfielder)
Always worth backing when he’s playing at home, as he does against struggling Burnley on Saturday.
Diego Costa, Chelsea (forward)
If you’ve got him in your side then great, but if you don’t then you might want to wait until Gameweek 28 to bring him back in as he doesn’t play in Gameweek 27.
Harry Kane, Spurs (forward)
Plays at home to West Ham, but frankly he looks to be fixture-proof. In a week that practically demands a captain from either Chelsea or Man City, Kane has to be considered as ‘the best of the rest’.
