Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 2 defenders round-up

Strengthen your defensive line after consulting this Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 2 defenders round-up and unlock your fantasy football potential.

Recommended selections this week include players from West Brom, Sunderland, Man Utd and Swansea.

Any first-choice WBA defender

Tony Pulis sides tend to start seasons with a few clean sheets, so no surprise to see West Brom win 1-0 at Crystal Palace.

Next up they’re home to Everton, a fixture in which £5m Craig Dawson scored one of his 5 goals last season.

At £4.5m apiece, Jonny Evans, Gareth McAuley and Jonas Olsson offer slightly less goal threat but plenty of value.

Patrick van Aanholt, SUN – £5m

David Moyes’s men looked solid enough in the 2-1 defeat at Man City to suggest clean sheet potential at home to Middlesbrough.

With his extra attacking threat, van Aanholt is the obvious choice from Sunderland.

Antonio Valencia, MUN – £5.5m

Impressed as a right-back in the 3-1 win at Burnley and should continue at home to Southampton.

He bombs forward to good effect and crosses well, so he should have a few assists in him.

Jordi Amat/Stephen Kingsley, SWA – £4m

Both started the 1-0 win at Burnley and should do so again for the home game against Hull.

Good luck and happy selecting!
