This Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 18 captains round-up is here to give you guidance in selecting both your skipper and a handy vice-captain.
Recommended selections this week include players from Everton, Leicester, Man City, Arsenal and Spurs.
Riyad Mahrez, Leicester (midfielder)
Starting to look like the outstanding candidate, frankly. Does it even matter who he’s playing? Away to out-of-form Liverpool, as it happens.
Romelu Lukaku, Everton (forward)
It’s hard not to back a player who’s scored in 7 consecutive Premier League games, 8 in all competitions, even if his side have been struggling for form ahead of a potentially tricky Boxing Day trip to Newcastle.
Sergio Agüero, Man City (forward)
Probably best to see how he gets on at Arsenal in Monday night’s fixture before making your mind up, but a home game against Sunderland looks a mighty tempting one in which to captain this (admittedly injury-prone) fantasy football stalwart.
Mesut Özil/Theo Walcott/Aaron Ramsey, Arsenal (midfielders)
With the Gunners going to an out-of-form Southampton side, any one of these three midfielders has the potential to yield a healthy points return.
Harry Kane, Spurs (forward)
Got back on the score sheet in the 2-0 win at Southampton, although beware a Norwich side that’s been distinctly competitive of late and won 2-1 at Man Utd last time out.
Good luck and happy selecting!
