A 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace may have knocked confidence, but Saints have held out Liverpool and Everton in their last two home games so Middlesbrough shouldn’t hold too many fears.

Thibaut Courtois, CHE – £5.6m

Not cheap for a goalkeeper, but he’s cheaper than Chelsea’s starting defenders and seems to be just as nailed on to keep clean sheets.

Jordan Pickford, SUN – £4.2m
