Recommended selections this week include players from Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.

1. Harry Kane, TOT (forward)

Historically the scourge of Leicester City, having twice scored a hat-trick against them, and Spurs look better on the road than they do at Wembley.

2. Álvaro Morata/Eden Hazard, CHE (forward/midfielder)

Chelsea are at home to a desperately struggling Swansea side. Who can step into Diego Costa’s role as the Swans’ tormentor-in-chief?

3. Mohamed Salah, LIV (midfielder)

Can the Premier League’s top scorer do it on a cold Wednesday night in Stoke? You wouldn’t dare bet against him…

4. Alexis Sánchez, ARS (midfielder)

Has three goals in five games going into the home game against Huddersfield.

5. A Man City player

This is fraught with peril, because all the front players scoring the most points are also subject to squad rotation, while those seemingly the most nailed on to start – namely Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva – play further back.

Keep your ear out for who might start at home to Southampton, though, as City could rack up another big score there.
