Fantasy Premier League tips gameweek 1 forwards round-up

Propel yourself to fantasy football fortune with the help of this Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 1 forwards round-up.

Recommended forward selections this Gameweek include players from Liverpool, Arsenal, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Burnley.

🌟 Roberto Firmino/Daniel Sturridge LIV, £9.5m/£6m

Firmino made the transition to fully fledged goal-scorer last season, scoring 27 in all competitions, and he gets 2018-19 underway with a home game against West Ham.

However, there’s a chance he might not play 90 minutes coming off the back of the World Cup, which would give a chance to an apparently rejuvenated Sturridge.

He’s looked much more like his former self during pre-season, so could prove to be a bargain at £6m – even if he doesn’t always start games.

🌟 Alexandre Lacazette ARS, £9.5m

Ended last season on fire and looks set to start this one as Arsenal’s central striker, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the left-hand side.

His two goals in the 5-1 friendly win over PSG indicate he’s in good nick, although an opening day fixture against Man City isn’t ideal.

🌟 Josh King BOU, £7m

Couldn’t carry his prolific 2016-17 form into the last campaign, but he could resume his role as Bournemouth’s main centre-forward if Callum Wilson’s form doesn’t improve.

If he does, an opening day home match against newly promoted Cardiff looks tempting.

🌟 Wilfried Zaha CRY, £7m

Improved his end product towards the end of last season and if he starts this one still at Crystal Palace then he’ll begin with a trip to newly promoted Fulham.

And if he moves to a Premier League team in the upper echelons, he could prove even more of a bargain.

🌟 Chris Wood BUR, £6.5m

Burnley’s early competitive start due to Europa League qualifiers could give them the momentum to make a strong league start. First up, away to Southampton.
