A new season’s Fantasy Premier League is upon us, so do consider the following three potential West Brom bargains.
Unless Tony Pulis walks out on them within the next few days, the Baggies should prove to be hard to beat in 2015-16, which in fantasy terms means a nice, healthy number of clean sheets.
None of their defensive players cost any more than £5m, so that’s probably where you ought to be looking for your West Brom bargains…
Joleon Lescott, defender – £5m
Perhaps the most nailed-on starter amongst West Brom’s pool of centre-halfs-cum-full-backs, Lescott also has previous in terms of scoring goals.
If similarly priced team mates James Chester and Craig Dawson start then they should also prove to be a handful from set pieces.
Chris Brunt, midfielder – £5.5m
10 assists during the last campaign made Brunt one of the league’s most proficient goal-makers. With any luck, Cesc Fàbregas’s pinpoint head shot hasn’t scrambled his inner radar.
Boaz Myhill, goalkeeper – £4.5m
With first-choice ‘keeper Ben Foster set to miss the start of the season through injury, Myhill is perfectly placed to recreate the fantasy heroics he performed towards the end of last season.
