A new season’s Fantasy Premier League is open for business, so do consider the following three potential Watford bargains.

Their defence ain’t the best, so it’s going forward that we may find our Watford bargains…

Troy Deeney, forward – £5.5m

Apparently the first player in Watford’s history to score 20 or more goals in three consecutive seasons, Deeney is blessed with a physical presence that could translate effectively to top flight football.

Almen Abdi, midfielder – £5m

A slight doubt to start the season opener at Everton, Abdi has scored 11 goals in 45 appearances at Championship level.

Steven Berghuis, midfielder – £6m

The Dutch winger was a regular scorer at AZ Alkmaar, managing 19 goals in 70 league games, only 44 of which he started.
