A new season’s Fantasy Premier League is ready to go, so do consider the following three potential Spurs bargains.
Harry Kane was of course Tottenham’s big story last time out, and his rapid ascent has seen his price shoot up from £5m this time last year to £9.5m now.
£8.5m Christian Eriksen may also prove to be a popular pick even in spite of his goal drought during the second half of the last campaign, but you might want to give some thought to these Spurs bargains in the making…
Nacer Chadli, midfielder – £7m
Scored and assisted more than Eriksen last season – 11 goals and 6 assists compared to the Dane’s 10 and 4 – and he’s £1.5m cheaper. Remains to be seen if he’ll be a regular starter, but with stats like those he should arguably be a shoo-in.
Kieran Trippier, defender – £5.5m
Racked up 19 assists from right-back during Burnley’s promotion season, and also chipped in with some vital ones during the Clarets’ subsequent Premier League campaign.
Toby Alderweireld, defender – £5m
The Belgian central defender was a key part of Southampton’s often-impenetrable defence last season and is likely to be a rock in Mauricio Pochettino’s back four this time around.
