A new season’s Fantasy Premier League is open for trading, so do consider the following three potential Man Utd bargains.

Louis van Gaal has returned the Red Devils to (the brink of) Champions League football, but could this affect the league form of the Dutchman’s new-look side?

If as looks likely Wayne Rooney will start up front then he’s certainly a tempting proposition at £10.5m, but we’ve also got our eye on these other Man Utd bargains in the making…

Memphis Depay, midfielder – £8.5m

Quite simply because he’s listed as a midfielder but will probably ‘operate’ further forward, and of course midfielders get more points for a goal. Might take time to settle though.

Ander Herrera, midfielder – £7m

Showed a surprising eye for goal in his first year at Old Trafford and if he can keep scoring at the same rate then becoming first-choice would surely yield strong returns from him.

James Wilson, forward – £5m

May not feature much at first but United are light on striking options and this youngster’s shown enough promise to suggest this could be a breakthrough season for him.
