If you’re playing Fantasy Premier League this season, step right this way and consider the three Arsenal bargains of our suggestion.
Theo Walcott, midfielder – £9m
It may only be pre-season but all the signs are that Walcott is picking up where he left off from the end of last season, scoring as he did a hat-trick against West Brom and then the opener in the FA Cup final.
If he stays fit then it looks likely he’ll get games up front, which is FPL gold since he remains listed quite generously as a midfielder and therefore gets 5 points for each goal as opposed to 4.
Even at that price, an on-form and on-fitness Walcott can be fantasy dynamite.
Aaron Ramsey, midfielder – £8.5m
Another who’s virtually peerless in the fantasy realm when on-song, it’s not inconceivable that Ramsey will be seen as a ‘must have’ by October or November – so get him in while his price is still this low.
Héctor Bellerín, defender – £5.5m
If he can stave off the challenge presented by the returning Mathieu Debuchy, Bellerín showed during the second half of last season that he could become an invaluable source of goals and assists from defence.
Oh and, while you’re at it, keep an eye on Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at £6m apiece.
