Onwards, then…

Fantasy Football Tips, Gameweek 6 – Midfielders

Goals and assists are of course the primary midfield currencies in Fantasy Football land, so Arsenal‘s Mesut Özil and Aaron Ramsey are decidedly hot property.

After teeing one up for Olivier Giroud on his debut at Sunderland, Özil bagged another three assists in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Stoke City, while Ramsey kept up his astonishing goal-scoring form with a seventh strike in all competitions.

At £10.3m Özil does not come cheap, but with Ramsey still a relative bargain at £6.1m perhaps you could justify ‘splitting the difference’ and making room for both of them.

Arsenal go to a defensively sound Swansea City side this weekend, though, so don’t expect a rout.

Speaking of Swansea, Michu is back on the goal trail – he scored in each of the Swans’ three games last week, so £8.9m is starting to look like decent value again.

Paulinho got his first league goal for Tottenham Hotspur, and £7m seems like a good price for someone whose record suggests he’ll get his fair share over the course of the season.

Meanwhile, Hull City‘s Robbie Brady is still available for £5.1m despite having scored three goals already this season – the Tigers welcome struggling West Ham United to the KC Stadium this weekend, just so you know.

Fantasy Football Tips, Gameweek 6 – Strikers

Monday night’s fixture between Everton and Newcastle United could be the key match here – Romelu Lukaku and Loïc Rémy both got off the mark last weekend, and both are available for the relatively cheap price of £7.4m.

At £11m Sergio Agüero is hardly a bargain, but his two goals for Manchester City in Sunday’s 4-1 win over United hinted he may be set to rediscover his first season form – in which case, he’d be an excellent alternative to the £14m Robin van Persie.

As indeed might be Liverpool‘s £10.9m Luis Suárez, who of course is now once again available for selection.

You might want to stick with van Persie for this weekend though, that is if you fancy him to notch against West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford.

Those were our Fantasy Football Tips for Gameweek 6. Good luck!
