Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 33: Midfielders
Christian Eriksen might not have had much joy during Tottenham Hotspur’s 4-0 defeat at Liverpool, but he scored twice against Southampton in the game before.
At £6.5m and with a home game against struggling Sunderland in Gameweek 33, the Dane could be an excellent value-for-money pick.
Manchester City playmaker David Silva is in fine form, with two goals and two assists in his last four games.
City are at home to Southampton this weekend, so the Spaniard could prove to be a crafty punt at £9.4m.
Silva’s £8.1m teammate Samir Nasri is also looking good, with three assists in three, so Yaya Touré isn’t the only City midfielder doing the business.
Swansea City’s Jonathan De Guzmán continued his impressive run of goals with a couple in the 3-0 win over Norwich City.
A trip to Hull City is no easy fixture, but the Dutchman’s £5.7m pricing makes an intriguing option out of him nevertheless.
Cardiff City’s Jordon Mutch has three goals in his last two games, seven in total for the season and a home game against Crystal Palace coming up this weekend.
Palace are solid under Tony Pulis, but if Mutch’s productivity can once again match his name then he’ll be a bargain at just £4.7m.
£7.5m Kevin Mirallas and £5.2m Aiden McGeady came on as second-half substitutes and linked up beautifully for Everton’s crucial second goal in the 3-1 win at Fulham.
Don’t be surprised to see either or both starting Sunday’s crunch clash at home to Arsenal, not to mention either or both scoring/assisting.
Finally, Southampton’s £7.9m Adam Lallana looks back in form with goals in his last two games. Just when we’d taken him out of our side, too…
