Come hither, come hither – our Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 32 goalkeepers and defenders round-up is here!

We can’t be certain of what will happen in this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, so there is a chance – just a smidgen of one – that our Fantasy Football tips might not work out for you.

Rest assured, though, that our educated guesses are at least as educated as they are guessed.

We should probably mention that our Fantasy Football tips are based on the Fantasy Premier League version of the game, although the principles should apply more or less across the board.

Come on, then…

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 32: Goalkeepers and Defenders

Goalkeepers: oft overlooked, but a crucial source of points in the right – if you’ll pardon the pun – hands.

Sunderland’s £4.5m Vito Mannone is one such case in point – you won’t always want him in nets, but on no less than six occasions this season he has scored a double-figured amount of points in a game.

His propensity for racking up bonus points by making lots of saves on these occasions make Mannone a shrewd option for the frugal Fantasy Premier League operator, and we’ve an inkling that Sunderland’s home game against West Ham United this weekend shall reward his selection.

Manchester United’s £5.7m David De Gea has kept four clean sheets in his last five games, so you might deem him likely to repeat the trick at home to Aston Villa.

The Red Devils have been erratic at home, though, so proceed with caution.

With Liverpool at home to Tottenham Hotspur, you might fancy the Reds’ £5.7m defender Martin Škrtel to either participate in a clean sheet or add to his impressive tally of six thus far this season.

Škrtel has scored at both ends against Spurs in the past, so this one could go either way!

Southampton could conceivably keep a clean sheet at home to Newcastle United – see how Newcastle get on against Everton on Tuesday for an indicator of how that one might go.
