Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 28: Strikers

How about that Hull City, eh? 4-0 winners at Cardiff City in Gameweek 27, with January signings Nikica Jelavić and Shane Long looking to have struck up an instant understanding up front.

The Tigers are at home to struggling Newcastle United this weekend, so you might want to avail of either Jelavić at £6.9m or Shane Long at just £5.7m.

Or both, perhaps? Steady on, old chap. Oh yes, and Newcastle’s Loïc Rémy got back on the goal trail with a late winner against Aston Villa in Gameweek 27 – if he can reproduce his early season form then £8m could be one of the bargains of the run-in.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to bounce back from defeat at Norwich City when they welcome lowly Cardiff to White Hart Lane this weekend.

£8.3m Emmanuel Adebayor to run riot? Wouldn’t rule it out.

Southampton v Liverpool could turn out to be an absolute goal-fest, and don’t rule out Saints’ strikers getting in on the act – Rickie Lambert and Jay Rodriguez are priced at just £7.2m and £6.7m respectively if you fancy a punt on either or even both.

£8.2m Romelu Lukaku is expected to return for Everton against West Ham United, while the Toffees’ Gerard Deulofeu could be a sneakily good option at the bargain price of £5.4m.

For West Ham, Carlton Cole managed a goal and an assist against Southampton in Gameweek 27, so he could be excellent value at just £5m.

Remember – neither Manchester City nor Manchester United are playing in this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, so get their players out of your team in time.
