Right, let’s do this thing…

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 26: Midfielders

Stoke City’s Charlie Adam got two assists in the 2-2 draw at Southampton to go with the two goals he scored in last week’s 2-1 win over Manchester United.

At £5.7m, and with a home game against Swansea City on Wednesday, we’re gambling on the Scot to continue his good run, bringing him in for Adam Johnson with an eye on Sunderland’s daunting upcoming fixtures.

Kevin Nolan has scored four in two for West Ham United, earning a whopping 16 points in consecutive weeks.

He’s listed as doubtful for Tuesday’s home game against Norwich City, but he could be such good value at £6.5m that you might want to keep an eye on that.

Another midfielder to ‘notch’ a ‘brace’ at the weekend was Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling, in the astonishing 5-1 win over Arsenal.

He’s only £5.3m and goes with the Reds to bottom-of-the-table Fulham on Wednesday, so be sure to monitor his progress, as they like to say.

Steven Gerrard got two assists in the aforementioned thrashing, and his respective points hauls from the last five games are 9, 7, 8, 1 and 9.

£8.9m he’ll set you back, but if Liverpool keep on hammering goals in at a rate of knots then it could be a bargain.

Lining up for Fulham will be £5.2m Steve Sidwell, whose opening goal at Manchester United yesterday was his 6th of the season. Not bad.

£5.5m will get you Thomas Ince, who got a goal and an assist on his 13-point debut for Crystal Palace. It’s off to Everton on Wednesday for the Eagles.
