Look at this, right – it’s our goalkeeping and defensive Fantasy Football tips for Gameweek 12!
If you happen to be new around here, we ought to clarify one or two things before we proceed.
Firstly, bear in mind that our Fantasy Football tips aren’t dead certs, since we can’t actually predict this weekend’s Premier League scores.
Only Mystic Megson can do that.
Secondly, our Fantasy Football tips are based on the official Premier League version of the game, although the principles should apply more or less across the board.

Fantasy Football Tips, Gameweek 12 – Goalkeeper and Defence
We usually spend these columns writing about Southampton but they’re away to Arsenal this weekend, so bear that in mind when picking your team.
Newcastle United have kept consecutive clean sheets and are at home to Norwich City, so you might want to draft in any of goalkeeper Tim Krul and Davide Santon (both £5m) or Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Mike Williamson (both £4.4m).
The Magpies will be without suspended right back Mathieu Debuchy, with north-eastern publication the Chronicle tipping £4m youngster Paul Dummett to deputise.
Mind you, the Fantasy Football website lists Dummett as being out until November 23rd through injury, so who knows?
Perhaps Vurnon Anita will drop back to cover for Debuchy, but he’s listed as a midfielder so doesn’t really help here.
Hull City may have been trounced 4-1 at high-flying Southampton last time out but they’ve generally been solid at home, and this weekend welcome Crystal Palace to the KC Stadium.
If you’ve a spare transfer at hand, you might benefit from drafting in any of goalkeeper Steve Harper (£4m), Curtis Davies (£4.6m), Maynor Figueroa (£4.4m), Liam Rosenior (£4m) or Paul McShane (£3.9m).
Having conceded four times in their last outing, however, there may well be changes.
Maybe Chelsea will finally manage to keep a clean sheet at not-exactly-free-scoring West Ham United…but we wouldn’t count on it.
