Danil Karpuik scored a comical own goal while playing for Russia against Brazil in a Youth Olympics men’s futsal gold-medal match in Buenos Aires.

The score was goalless after 18 minutes when the Russians started playing the ball back, eventually losing it to a Brazilian attacker.

He in turn surrenders possession and the ball bounces the way of Karpuik, who inexplicably thunders it past his own goalkeeper with what would have been aplomb had it been at the other end.
