Mérida A.D. of Spain’s Segunda División B have ensured they won’t emulate Real Madrid in fielding an ineligible player – by tying the suspended Johny Monago to a chair and gagging him.

Real Madrid face expulsion from the Copa Del Rey for playing Denis Cheryshev in their 3-1 win at Cádiz, whose next opponents have taken tongue-in-cheek measures to prevent falling into such a trap themselves.
