It’s confusing for a modern day footballer, they don’t know when to waste time, when to feign injury, when to collapse in a heap and when to make use of their perfectly functioning limbs to walk off the pitch for treatment.

Reading’s Noel Hunt appeared to be caught in two minds during his team’s loss to Manchester United on Monday.

Jogging his way to the touchline, the striker is almost there before appearing to stop for a short rest.

Hunt gets a shout though and a moments later he’s back on his feet and finally off the pitch.
