Recommended defender picks for this Gameweek include players from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton and Manchester City.

🌟 Matt Doherty WOL, £4.7m

One goal, two assists and three clean sheets in his last four games have propelled the attacking full-back up the list of highest-scoring FPL defenders.

He’s now joint-second to Marcos Alonso, so his value for money is hard to overlook with a home match against Watford coming up after the international break.

🌟 Trent Alexander-Arnold LIV, £5.2m

Was left out against Man City for tactical reasons but he will more than likely return for the trip to Huddersfield, a great chance for Liverpool to get back to firing on all cylinders.

🌟 Rob Holding ARS, £4.4m

The 23-year-old has put in a couple of impressive performances for the in-form Gunners, and if he retains his place he could prove excellent value.

Chances are he’ll eventually make way for the returning Laurent Koscielny, but this might not be straight away. Up next for Arsenal, home to Leicester.

🌟 Séamus Coleman EVE, £5.3m

Could return from injury for the home game against Crystal Palace, and he’s available at a reduced price. Started the season poorly, but could he improve in a more functioning Everton side?

🌟 Benjamin Mendy MCI, £6.2m

He’s back from injury, but be warned that he’s not a guaranteed starter since it appears to be becoming a case of either/or between him and Leroy Sané.

Nevertheless, if he starts at home to Burnley then he could have a field day.
