Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 3: Defenders
- By Football Burp
Strengthen your defence with this Fantasy Premier League tips Gameweek 3 defenders round-up and unlock your fantasy football potential.
Recommended selections this week include players from Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Bromwich Albion, Huddersfield Town, Manchester City and Chelsea.
Phil Jones, MUN – £5m
Seems to be a cheap way into Man Utd’s defence as things stand, with Jones starting in both of their 4-0 wins going into the home game against Leicester.
Kieran Trippier/Ben Davies, TOT – £5.4m/£5.6m
Trippier was the one earmarked for attacking returns this season, but Davies scored on opening day and is now on some set piece duties. Next up is a home match against Trippier’s former club Burnley.
Ahmed El-Sayed Hegazi, WBA – £4.7m
West Brom have started the season in consummate Tony Pulis fashion with back-to-back 1-0 wins, and this weekend they host Stoke.
Zanka, HUD – £4.5m
Huddersfield will be looking to make it three wins and three clean sheets out of three at home to Southampton.
John Stones, MCI – £5.5m
He’s started to look more threatening from set pieces, and this weekend he plays away to a Bournemouth side that’s yet to score this season.
Marcos Alonso, CHE – £7m
Okay, he’s the most expensive player in his position, but can you really afford to be without a defender capable of scoring twice away to Spurs? Everton beware!
Good luck and happy selecting!
